Conference Dinner

This year the conference dinner will be an informal occasion, and a chance to sample Utrecht’s famous (and recently renovated) pancake house, Oude Muntkelder. Join us for fantastic food, video game chat, and a healthy does of culture! The restaurant’s historical cellar, now used to make the ‘best pancakes in the world’, was until 1910 used for the minting of Dutch coins. Make sure you pick up a ticket when you book!

The airport closest and best connected to Utrecht is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Trains leave every 15 minutes during the daytime, every 30 minutes in the evening, and take about 30 minutes to get to Utrecht Central Station. From there it is a short walk through the indoor mall into town and to the conference venue (10-15 minutes).

Map of the area

Unfortunately, lunch is not included due to lack of facilities. Therefore, for those who wish to join us, we will be leading groups at lunchtime to explore the wonderful local food marked on the map above.

Hosted by University of Utrecht.

Supported by The Institute for Cultural Inquiry (ICON), and GAP: Center for the Study of Digital Games and Play.
